Akua is a stunning cabin suspended over the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. It has an open floor plan with raised 10-foot ceilings and large sliding glass windows designed to direct your senses to the mesmerizing coastline. From the oceanfront large half-covered deck, embraced by the sound and smell of the ocean and forest, guests can sunbathe, spot marine life, stargaze, or storm-watch. To enhance a full relaxation experience, the cabin has a private sunken cedar hot tub and a private cedar sauna, both with direct ocean views. On Akua, Japanese and Scandinavian minimalism meet the Pacific Northwest, connecting the vast ocean and the imposing forest.

THE SPACE

This cabin is carefully furnished and decorated with local and designer pieces, from the wall art to the handmade tableware. The heated concrete floors, seamless micro-cement bathroom, and fully equipped minimalist kitchen were purposely designed for the guests' comfort. To elevate the experience, we carefully selected king-size organic wool mattresses and toppers, organic latex and down pillows, linen bed sheets, and premium cotton towels and bathrobes.

Additionally, the cabin guests have access to a secluded common area with lounge chairs, two relaxing cedar hot tubs, one cold cedar plunge tub, and several lounge chairs under outdoor heaters.

THE LOCATION

The Akua Cabin is nestled in a prime location between the ocean and forest, offering direct access to the Wild Pacific Trail. This trail, located in Ucluelet, is a seven-phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. The trail provides panoramic views overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west. It features spectacular shoreline vistas and seaward views through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

The center of Ucluelet is only a 3-minute drive or a 20-minute walk through beautiful trails from the suite. For those looking to explore further, Tofino is a short 30-minute drive through the stunning Pacific Rim National Park. Along the way, 20 minutes from Nami, you’ll find the historic Tofino Airport, the endless Long Beach, and the lush Rainforest Trail. This makes Akua Cabin the perfect spot for those seeking a blend of natural beauty, convenience, and adventure.
